Poker Ride — December 13, 2009
A fabulous time was had by all at the Poker Ride, which raised over $900 for SAFE. The event was held at Bridle Trails State Park in Bellevue WA, and we had a great turnout.
Open House /Adoption Event — October 4, 2009

2009 SAFE Benefit Horse Show
The third annual SAFE Benefit Horse Show took place on August 22, 2009 at Frontier Park in Graham WA. We had an incredible turnout of horses and riders, with large, competitive classes all day long. Ten SAFE horses were in attendance to meet, greet and compete; and all of them conducted themselves admirably. One highlight of the day was watching Sinatra win the blue ribbon in the Halter class for Rescue horses.
Our 3rd annual Benefit Horse Show raised close to $5000 for SAFE. We'd like to thank the many participants and spectators who came out to share this day with us, and we look forward to seeing you in 2010 when we do it all again!

HeART of the Horse 2009
HeART of the Horse—an art show and auction benefitting SAFE—was held on April 5, 2009 at Abbey Ballroom in Tacoma WA. HeART featured the artwork of several local and national artists, many of whom donated their work to the silent auction. The event featured catered hors d'ouvres, a no-host bar, live musical entertainment, and a painter on site whose portait of Honeycutt was auctioned at the end of the event. The event raised close to $5,000 for SAFE, and plans are already underway for next year's event.

2008 SAFE Benefit Horse Show
The second annual SAFE Benefit Horse Show took place on August 23, 2008 at Bridle Trails State Park in Bellevue WA and was a tremendous success. We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day and we had a great turnout for the show. Initial feedback indicates that a great time was had by all. Our judges for the event, Heidi Hopen-Wright and Crystal Byers, did a fantastic job, and provided a lot of great advise and assistance to our participants. Our Prize Drawing was a big hit, and a lot of people went home with great new treasures. During the lunch break, spectators were treated to a performance by Cowgirl Spirit Rescue Drill Team, as well as a parade of rescue horses available for adoption.
Four SAFE rescue horses were in attendance, and did a terrific job both in and out of the show ring. These amazing equines are looking for their forever homes, and they have proven that they are as beautiful and talented as their non-rescue counterparts. Pony Up Fall Fundraiser benefitting SAFE
The Pony Up Dinner and Auction to benefit SAFE was held on November 3, 2007. We had a fun bunch of people in attendance -- most of whom were good sports and wore their best wild west duds! The food was great and the auction itself was a lot of fun, with several hotly contested items, some screaming good deals, and newly acquired treasures.
The Pony Up Fall Fundraiser raised $3,766 for SAFE.

SAFE Benefit Horse Show
The SAFE BENEFIT OPEN HORSE SHOW was held on Saturday, July 28th at Mt Hood Equestrian Center in Boring OR, and it was a tremendous success! We had a huge turnout, wonderful participants, tireless volunteers, and happy spectators. Plans are already underway for next year's show.
