Marianna Clair has always had horses in her life, one way or another. She grew up in the Midwest, moved to Seattle in 2014 for graduate school at the University of Washington, and fell in love with Seattle. Marianna has successfully raised funds and led community outreach programs for a number of nonprofits, notably the Refugee Resettlement Office and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Marianna is responsible for the fundraising efforts at SAFE, planning and executing cultivation events, and developing relationships with all of SAFE’s generous donors. Marianna adopted her horse, Esperanza, from SAFE in 2018 and it has been a match made in heaven. When she’s not fundraising, Marianna can be found reading a good book, growing microgreens in her kitchen, taking her weekly lesson with Esperanza, spending time with her two cats, and traveling the world. She has been to five continents and hopes to make it to all seven one day!
