A huge thank you you to the nearly 100 people who came through our gates for a farm tour in 2026! Our tour season has ended for the year, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming more visitors in the spring. Stay tuned! We’ll announce more tour dates in Spring 2027.
About SAFE
For over twenty years, Save a Forgotten Equine (SAFE) has been rescuing horses and supporting horse owners in need all across Washington state. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-educate horses facing neglect or abuse, and to give them the best chance at a permanent home and a lifetime of safety. SAFE also has a lively volunteer community, offering fresh air and time outdoors around the horses, friendship, events, and chances to learn.
In April 2026, SAFE moved to a new home in Snohomish near Maltby, just minutes from Woodinville. We’re working hard to turn this property into an ideal home for rescue horses, and our farm tours let the community see that work as it happens.
What Is a Farm Tour?
Farm tours are free, one-hour visits to our farm at 13113 200th St SE, Snohomish, WA 98296. In 2026, we held them on the second Saturday of each month. On a tour, you’ll:
- Meet the horses of SAFE
- Learn about SAFE’s history and mission
- Hear about our short- and long-term plans to build a farm suited to the special needs of rescue horses
- Find out how you can support SAFE as a donor or volunteer
Can’t wait till spring?
Consider volunteering at SAFE for a true behind-the-scenes look.
SAFE volunteers are the heart and soul of this organization. Every day of the week there are dedicated volunteers at the farm, ensuring that our horses have adequate food, water, and a clean living environment. Volunteering with SAFE is hard work, but it is extremely fun and rewarding as well.
