Lexi was so good at the 2009 SAFE Benefit Show! Everyone was amazed she had only had 75 days under saddleā¦she was so laid back and easy going! She wasnāt real comfortable having horses she didnāt know close to her so we put a red ribbon in her tail just to be safe,ā¦

I rode Lexi myself tonight. She did great! Sheās a lot of fun, and VERY sensitive to your seat and weight aids. She did great even with my cats deciding it was a good time to chase each other up the arena posts as we rode by. She didnāt like the length of my arenaā¦

Lexi was awesome today! She looks so good, like a little mini-Warmblood! Alison got to ride her (I will have to have a turn soon though, she looks so fun!). She very steady now, very consistent on the bit and very forward, none of that pony movement or attitude fromā¦

Lexiās doing great in her training. Sheās not quite consistent with her canter work yet, she has a hard time maintaining it on the corners with a rider but is getting there. Sheās totally unfazed by anything that is going on around her and very calm and easy going.ā¦

Lexi is doing fabulous with her training. Training sessions are still being kept short but she has remained completely sound even with a consistent 4ā5 days a week of work. She has now done some short canter sessions under saddle as well. She is described as veryā¦
May Volunteer of the Month: Caren McMillen!
Caren has been volunteering at SAFE since February of 2014 and we are truly lucky to have her. Caren volunteers every Monday morning to feed the horses and do chores. She is always smiling during her shift and often stays around to help when needed. Beyond justā¦
Foster Update- Rocky

Hereās Oscar looking like a million bucks with Melonie Rainey in the saddle. We got an update recently from Melonie, who reports, āOscar is doing excellent! But.ā¦itās up and down. He can be a real booger. He started bucking WAY too frequently with Zack [Melonieāsā¦
Get well, Anderson!
Anderson is experiencing some complications related to his gelding surgery. He has increased swelling and general discomfort along with slightly depressed attitude. He was started on antibiotics today, and this will delay his discharge from Cedarbrook Vet Care. Weādā¦
Nala the Wonder Horse
What a difference a pair of shoes can make! Nala is doing much better in her new shoes donated by our farrier Jake Cowden. She is much more balanced and comfortable with a rider over the last two weeks since the shoes were put on. We took her on 3 trail rides thisā¦
