Ariel’s Story: Ariel is the foal of SAFE horse Amber, who was rescued just 10 days before giving birth to her filly. Amber had been terribly neglected but remarkably, Ariel was born healthy. She was also born sweet, friendly, and full of life. She was adopted shortly after her first birthday.

Ariel: All grown up!

Ariel was born just days after her mother, Amber, was seized by Animal Control and brought to SAFE. Despite her mother’s emaciated condition, Ariel was born heathy and lively. Ariel is now 5 years old, and her adopter has this update to share with us:

Ariel was started under saddle with Celena Pentrack this summer and did very well. Celena was moving to Bend, OR and riding in the 100 mile Tevis Cup, so she only had time to put 30 days on Ariel. It was an intense 30 days, but Ariel did very well and got a solid foundation. She is a very sensible girl. She loves kids, so I’m hoping that after some more time under saddle, she will be a great little horse for my 12 year old daughter.
