Shortbread is Adopted!
Shortbread and her friend, Whisky, were living in stalls for a year due to their elderly owners’ failing health. They were signed over to SAFE and we made sure to find them a home together to live out their lives. Shortbread and Whisky were adopted to a lovely family who also have a 27 year old Appaloosa mare named Windy.

We recently got an update on these two cute buttons! Whisky and Shortbread are lucky to enjoy grass time and Sherry says they sometimes get the zoomies and it’s fun to watch them run and roll around. She said “They are both so sweet and a joy of her life.”

Whisky and Shortbread are Adopted!
We are so excited that Whisky and Shortbread have found their forever home with Sherry, Rick and their 27 year old Appaloosa mare, Windy. Whisky is very interested in Windy and really wants to be friends. Windy isn’t quite sure about this yet, but Rick and Sherry are sure she will come around eventually. Whisky and Shortbread are getting excellent care at their new home. Sherry and Rick say that the only hard part is convincing their 6 year old granddaughter that it’s time to come back inside and cook dinner at the end of the day! She’s in love!
Meet Shortbread and Whisky!
Introducing the newest little members of our herd! Shortbread and Whisky were living in stalls for the last year due to their elderly owners’ failing health. They have been signed over to SAFE and we will be seeking to place them together into a new home. Shortbread is friendly and outgoing; Whisky is a little more shy, but he’s coming around.
