Wren (Sage) has her annual veterinary checkup every May. She wears shoes because they provide the traction and protection she needs for riding through the sagebrush hills. Her pasture mate, Goose, is also a mare and belongs to Jake’s fiancée. Twice a week, they trailer the horses to a riding arena across the interstate, then ride out on the surrounding trails from there.
