Marcia Jimenez has always had a special connection to the animal world. She began her journey with horses with her first riding lesson at age eight, rode hunter growing up, and moved into the eventing community when her daughters also fell in love with horses and began their riding careers. She delightedly declares that she raised her children in a barn. Now she shares her home with three equine family members (along with a rescue dog, a rescue cat, and a non-rescue husband).

After a long career serving human needs as a clinical psychologist, she feels honored to continue that theme as coordinator for the Safe at Home program, connecting horses and their humans with short-term assistance for a wide variety of care needs.
