Kirsten AL worked with Cleo in the March Joel Conner Clinic, and has the following to say about her experience:
“Cleopatra continues to be one of the sweetest mares to work with! It is when she is at peace and focused on you when you know you have gotten somewhere. She continues to have tons of energy and try. Couple her try with peace when she has moved as you have indicated with the amount of eƯort that you have asked for and you will know that progress has been made.
With excellent instruction from Joel, bringing her into the arena while doing serpentines helped her to remain committed to the trek and worry less about her friend, Déjà vu. During class the constant attention of unified circle and hind quarters when needed helped her to focus on the work at hand. She was able to stand while listening to instructions for a bit but then it was back to work when she would call out for her friends. When she is able to focus, she is truly full of heart and loves to have her forehead petted and gives a big release of thanks for helping her along the way.”
