Donna and Sierra are doing fine. Sierra is 21 this year and in good health. She shares the barn with two donkeys and gets just an hour a day of turn out in the pasture due to the fact that she is diagnosed with Cushing’s. She is on dry lot or in a stall with a run the rest of the time. Donna does not ride Sierra any longer but keeps her exercised by doing liberty work and spends lots of time grooming her daily.
Here Sierra shows off her new haircut for the summer! She has Cushing’s so the extra hair off her chest and belly will keep her cooler.
