River is now 18 years old and is living the best life at Wendy’s farm of 38 years. Wendy and River had great success at first level dressage, but Wendy recognized that River wasn’t up to move up the levels so she happily listened and now they enjoy trail riding and visits with River’s neighbor (13-year-old girl) and a friend who comes by regularly to give him attention and take him for a ride. River lost his dear pasture mate in 2019 and was really missing him, so after a brief period Wendy brought home another lucky horse and they are very bonded. These happy horses spend their days in the pasture and nights tucked in the barn.
