I just had to post how proud I am of Lexi. She did GREAT for me at the show, especially considering I’d only started working with her the previous week and she’d had a month or two off before that.

Anyway, for the record she won the dressage Intro A & B classes as well as the high point for Intro (with a 68% score). She then went on to win the Green Horse Walk Only pleasure class, and placed 4th in Walk-Trot Western Pleasure Green Horse, Walk-Trot Western Pleasure Rescue Horse, and In-Hand trail. And though she was quite tired by the time English pleasure rolled around, she still placed 5th in Walk-Trot English pleasure Green Horse and Walk-Trot English Pleasure Rescue Horse. Oh, and she and my 3 yr old daugther also won a blue ribbon in Leadline. Lexi ended up wearing 4 different saddles at the show (dressage, western, hunt-seat, and leadline) for all her different classes and handled it all GREAT. She was definitely worried at times (especially early on), but looked to me for guidance and followed my lead nicely. You can’t question the results on this being a great x‑discipline mare!
