Margaret Sullivan is a lifelong animal lover who is thrilled to volunteer with SAFE. She looks forward to helping SAFE in its mission to save, rehabilitate, and re-home imperiled horses. Margaret feels strongly that all animals deserve to be treated with care and respect, and gladly uses her time, education, and experience to further her beliefs.
She brings over thirty years of legal, real estate, and business transactional experience to SAFE’s Board. Professionally, Margaret is a retired attorney who practiced in the area of business and real estate transactions. She is also a longtime real estate investor. She grew up riding horses, starting at age five years on a palomino mare named Belle. Throughout her adult life she has volunteered for a variety of animal causes, including county animal shelters, private dog rescues, and a number of animal welfare advocacy groups. Before joining SAFE’s Board of Directors in August 2026, she volunteered with SAFE as a member of the Friday morning chore shift team. Margaret and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of two retired racing greyhounds and are active in the greyhound rescue community.
