Dixie arrived at SAFE on Sunday Oct 9, 2011. She has a Body Condition Score of about 2ā2.5. She has lots of old kick wounds and is covered in bot fly eggs. Dixie shows signs of a recent abscess or puncture wound to her left front foot but seems sound today. Sheāsā¦

We havenāt updated Deedsā page in a while. He spent his summer at a foster home up in Stanwood, where he was a companion to an older mare. We have now moved him down to a foster home in Redmond, where he has a nice dry paddock and shelter and a buddy, a warmbloodā¦

Not a stallion any more!
Moonshine arrived at SAFE as a stallion so our first order of business was changing him into a gelding! Moonshine was castrated on October 1st as part of our castration clinic hosted by NWESC.

Getting to know Jessel
Well color me impressed! Jessel had her first health check up with Dr. McCracken and she was a superstar. She was a little shocked by the first vaccine but it only got better with the others. We will be giving her more boosters in a few weeks but at least she wonātā¦
