Donor Privacy Policy

Save a Forgotten Equine is committed to respecting the privacy of its donors, whether the donation is made online, by mail, or any other method.

Personal Information: When you make a financial or in-kind donation, you provide your name and contact information. Information collected by SAFE includes name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. This information is used solely by SAFE to issue tax receipts by mail and/or email, as well as occasional email correspondence which may include donation requests, event invitations, or organizational news. Constituents may opt out of email communications at any time using the Unsubscribe link at the end of each message. They may also opt out of mail and/or phone communication by contacting safehorses@safehorses.org.

We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ personally identifiable information with any other entity. In addition, we will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

Donors and other constituents wishing to review personal information collected or request corrections may contact us via email at safehorses@safehorses.org.

Anonymous Donations: Donors who do not want their gift acknowledged publicly may check the box marked Anonymous on the donation form. Donors are not required to provide any personal information to make a gift to the organization, however we will not be able to provide a tax receipt for your gift without your name and email address.

Security of Financial Information: Financial donors provide standard payment information including, in many circumstances, credit card data. SAFE uses industry standard safeguards to protect your information. We protect the security of credit card transactions using measures such as encryption, access controls, network firewalls, and physical security. These measures make it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept the credit card information you send to us.
